1. What causes your skin to age?
An increased understanding of the structure and function of the skin is helping to drive the development of products that reduce the visible signs of facial aging, according to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).

With aging, all skin cells begin to produce excess amounts of free radicals--unstable oxygen molecules that, under ideal circumstances, are removed by naturally occurring antioxidants within the skin's cells. In aging skin cells, antioxidants are in short supply. The free radicals generated are left unchecked and cause damage to cell membranes, proteins, and DNA. These free radicals eventually break down a protein substance in connective tissue (collagen) and release chemicals that cause inflammation in the skin. It is a combination of these cellular and molecular events that leads to skin aging and the formation of wrinkles,

The AAD says, As we get older, two components of our skin--collagen and elastin--degenerate, setting the stage for the appearance of wrinkles, creases, folds, and furrows. The breakdown of these components, accelerated by sun exposure and gravity, results in the sagging skin of old age.

7. How long is the shelf life of my products?
1 year under normal storage conditions.

8. How should I store my products?
Refrigeration will extend the shelf life of any of the products. All products can ideally be stored out of direct sunlight at room temperature for up to 1 year. Do not let your product be exposed to direct sunlight or in prolonged temperatures exceeding 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

9. How long has Wallsburg Farms been in business?
The business was incorporated in 1998. Its primary objective, from the very beginning, was to make Natural Skin Care Products based on proven folklore medicine. After extensive product research our founder proved to himself that all natural skin care products were almost non-existent. So he decided to try his had at making his own. Eventually the products evolved into what Wallsburg Farms is now.

10. My Serum or Cream Bottles are having difficulty pumping.
In a normal bottle, when product is pumped out of the bottle, it is replaced with air. The product remains on the bottom of the bottle with a growing space of air above it as it is used up.

An airless bottle works differently. When product is pumped out, instead of air replacing the product, a piston moves the product up from the bottom to fill the space where the product was with more product, which prevents air from coming back in. The bottle continues to remain airless as the product is consumed.

Airless containers prevent outside contaminates, oxidation and evaporation of the product. Thus they allow natural products to stay fresher, longer.

If air gets into the top of the bottle between the pump and the product , the pump will have difficulty pumping. This can happen when the piston at the bottom of the bottle gets stuck.

A few suggestions would be to:

  1. Try turning the bottle upside down and letting gravity help
  2. There is a small hole in the bottom of the bottle. With the bottle upright and the pump off, push a paper clip through the hole in the bottom and push the piston up until the product is slightly below the lip of the bottle. Replace the pump
  3. The pump may be plugged. Cleaning the pump is simple. Remove the pump, rinse with hot water and pump hot water through the pump a few times. This should clean the pump
